Our work goes beyond hair. We place special emphasis on healthy living—physically, mentally and emotionally—while uplifting women, teens and girls, particularly those from economically and socially underserved communities.

Since 2012, The Curl Clinic™ has created engaging educational experiences that help women and girls better understand, care for and celebrate their naturally curly, coily and kinky hair.
Our Curl Clinics combine practical natural-hair education, ingredient and product knowledge, healthy at-home hair-care practices and wellness in an interactive community experience designed to build knowledge and confidence.

What We're Growing
Our garden is more than a growing space. It is a living classroom.
The Curl Clinic™ currently grows herbs and botanicals in Chicago, including plants that can be used to teach the connections among gardening, wellness, natural hair and botanical beauty.
Through our Gardening for Beauty™ workshops, participants learn how to start their own herb gardens and explore ways plants have traditionally been incorporated into hair, skin and wellness practices.
Our Vision
Our long-term vision is to expand from urban growing spaces to a dedicated Curl Clinic farm capable of producing high-quality botanical ingredients while serving as a center for education, wellness and community experiences.
